​James started Djin in the mid 90's whilst in his early teens learning on vinyl and playing hardcore, whislt in his teens he played numerous local events including Bonkers tour nights......Once into the milenium James started to muture his sound and found his love for house music of all sub genres. after a few years away from music a trip to IBIZA gave him the music bug. Whislt gaining a residency with the Wakefield brand Funkified he played Wakefield, Knaresborough, Sheffield, Doncaster and Leeds at place such as The Hub, The Stonehouse, the Priory, Courtyard sessions. Republic and Bed..... During a set for a pre party for Love To Be James met Tony Walker who offered him a set and then a residency at PHONO Leeds including nights such as RISQUE and ESSENTIAL mixing it with the likes of Rob tissera, Hannah Wants, Jaye Jackin and more with a more electro sound, after racking up the hours every weekend James then got his chance with a residency at LOVE TO BE playing with such names Tony Walker, Marc Dennis, Josh Demello, Dale Castell and Mark Holliday to name a few. Since then James has gone on to play at Hed Kandi Leeds, Retro and even Passion presents Dirtyfunk at the Emporium Coalville with headline acts like Paul Oakenfold, Simon Patterson and John Askew. With a small set in IBIZA already under his belt James has got others already lined up for the 2012 season on the white isle. James describes his style has funky twisted disco-tech house, electro and also James as a love for classic piano house and main room vocals
